About the Author

Melisa Peterson Lewis is an author from the Baltimore, Maryland area who has self-published over one hundred short stories and personal essays on her blog Fingers to Sky. She enjoys creating flash fiction pieces for publication and exploring different genres such as drama, science fiction, romance, and tragedy. Melisa has an MBA in Human Resources and has taken several courses in creative writing.

Melisa started to write stories at a very young age, taking second place in her school’s writing completion with the short story titled I’m an Alien. Furthering her love for literature Melisa started journaling at eleven years old upon receiving her first lockable diary from her mother on her birthday.

Currently, she is working on two debut novels Baltimore Zombies and Sammich, due to be released in 2019. One of her horror stories was read on the podcast Not Ready for Rhyme Time (minute marker 09:40), and other stories have been posted on various websites.
